Add teams and build a squad
How club administrators and authorised managers create a football structure without duplicating players or teams.
Open Squad
Choose Players in the portal navigation, then Squad. The dashboard shows live teams and unique active players rather than counting team records as players.
Create the team
Select Register team, enter its display name and age group, then choose how many players start: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12 including the goalkeeper. Create one record per real squad and reuse it across fixtures, training and competitions.
Add each player
Select Add player and enter the player's name, position, shirt number and team. For a child, the club record can exist before the child has an email address.
Add card information
Set the player's preferred position, squad number and initial ratings. These values power the live player card and can be reviewed as the player develops.
Check the roster
Use the team filter and confirm each player appears once in the correct squad. Archive a player who has left rather than creating conflicting duplicate records.
Checks that prevent common mistakes
- Create the player record before generating an invite code.
- Use archive for historical players so their Passport remains intact.
- Keep shirt numbers unique within a team where possible.
