Run a round-robin football tournament
Create a children's round-robin tournament in NEXTXI on web, iOS or Android. Set up groups, pitches and breaks, choose competitive standings or scoreless participation, and save club-private photos and videos.
Open competitions
On web, open Football → Fixtures → Competitions and create a Round-robin tournament. In the mobile app, open Competitions from the operations menu and choose Create tournament.
Choose how children will play
Choose Competitive to record scores and standings, or Play for fun for fixtures, participation and memories without scores or a table. Make this choice before creating the tournament; it cannot be switched later.
Add the teams
Choose your organising team, name and season. Add other club teams or external team names, up to sixteen teams in total. Connected clubs can join by invitation; a named external slot can be linked to its real NEXTXI team later.
Arrange the groups
Place every team in exactly one group, with at least two teams per group. Every team plays each other team in its group once. An odd number of teams gives one team a rest in each round.
Generate the schedule
Choose the start date and local time, match length, break length and number of pitches. Generate once after checking the groups. NEXTXI allocates pitches and times without overlapping a team's matches. The team list is then locked; organisers can edit scheduled match times and venues.
Record results or participation
Competitive tournaments use the selected points rules, normally three for a win, one for a draw and zero for a loss. Tables rank each group by points, goal difference and goals scored; teams still equal share a position. For Play for fun, select Mark played instead of entering a score.
Save tournament memories
Managers can upload club-approved JPEG, PNG or WebP photos up to 10 MB and MP4 videos up to 20 MB. Add a caption and optionally link a match involving a team you manage. The gallery is visible to your club's authorised accounts, not automatically to other clubs or the public.
Keep the season
Refresh the gallery if a media link expires. When the event is finished, archive the competition to keep its schedule, participation and memories in past seasons. Play-for-fun events do not generate score reports or result leaderboards.
Checks that prevent common mistakes
- Finalise groups before generating the draw.
- A group of five teams gives each team four matches and one rest round.
- Play-for-fun fixtures are managed inside the tournament and cannot be attached to a scored club fixture.
- Check rescheduled times and pitches for clashes before telling the teams.
