Create leagues and cup competitions
A complete guide to connected NEXTXI leagues and cups, secure team invitations, live tables, knockout trees, fixtures, results and historical season archives.
Create the competition
Open Football, Fixtures, then Competition Centre. Choose League or Cup, enter the exact season label and select manual or connected management.
Add your organising team
Link the correct club team to the competition rather than entering it as an external name. This connection lets NEXTXI attach ordinary fixtures and publish the competition to authorised mobile accounts.
Generate team invitation codes
For another NEXTXI club, choose Generate invite from the competition team area and send the single-use, time-limited code privately to its authorised official. The joining club enters the code in its Competition Centre and selects the team it is linking.
Add external teams when required
Use an external team name only when the opponent does not use NEXTXI. Keep the spelling consistent across the competition and fixtures so the same club is not split into duplicate table rows.
Configure the league table
Set the points rules, team order and any approved points adjustment. Connected results calculate played, wins, draws, losses, goals for, goals against, goal difference and points; record a reason for every manual adjustment.
Generate the knockout cup tree
For a cup, confirm the entrants and create the tree before play begins. NEXTXI creates the rounds and handles required byes. Do not regenerate the tree after a result has progressed because that would change the competition path.
Create competition fixtures
Add each match with a round or league context. Link it to the club fixture so matchday details and the final result remain connected.
Confirm connected results
The submitting team records the score and the opponent confirms it. Competition owners can resolve disputes, with the override retained in the audit history.
Check web and mobile progress
Review the updated table or cup tree after every confirmed result. Linked players and parents can view the current competition from mobile, while admins and managers retain the authorised management actions.
Close and preserve the season
When the competition is complete, mark the season as historic instead of deleting it. The final table, cup path and connected matches remain available in past seasons, supporting Player Passports, Club Passports and the permanent club story.
Checks that prevent common mistakes
- Use one competition record per season.
- Send invitation codes only to the intended club official.
- Do not regenerate a live cup tree after results have progressed.
- Keep external team names consistent across fixtures.
- Preserve completed competitions so historic seasons remain part of the club record.
