Video titles are shown in English. Video and channel links open YouTube in a new tab.

01

Choose the channel

Open Engage, then Chat. Select Managers, Parents, Players or Committee and confirm whether the message should be team-specific.

02

Choose message type

Use an announcement for an important one-way update. Use a discussion for questions, replies, travel coordination or training conversation.

03

Write a clear update

Lead with the action, date and time. Include the venue or meeting point and state when a reply is required.

04

Publish to the correct audience

Recheck the team and channel before sending. Members see only channels permitted by their linked role and team access.

05

Follow up

Use replies for clarification and the dedicated availability or travel tools for structured responses. Do not collect medical details in general chat.

Good practice

Checks that prevent common mistakes

  • Keep urgent instructions short.
  • Use the fixture or training record as the source of truth for dates.
  • Move safeguarding concerns out of team chat and into the club's approved process.
