Create an academy development review
A coach-friendly process for reviews, development alerts, interventions and promotion decisions.
Open Development Centre
Choose Players, then Academy. Select the player card and review the last assessment, next review date, attendance and development trend.
Start the review
Choose the season and review type. Score only areas the coach has genuinely observed and add evidence-based notes.
Review the development picture
Use the radar and season comparison to check technical, physical and confidence changes. A single score should not be treated as the whole player.
Set the next focus
Add a small number of clear development priorities and, where required, create an intervention for wellbeing, nutrition, strength, recovery, attendance or behaviour.
Complete and share appropriately
Save the coach summary and next review date. The review becomes part of the player's Passport timeline and should be discussed constructively with the player or family.
Checks that prevent common mistakes
- Use consistent evidence across review periods.
- Avoid labels that could discourage young players.
- Restricted welfare details should not appear in general development notes.
